Introduction
Today, we’ll learn how to use the Animade Frames App in order to create a quick and easy animation. Following this step-by-step guide, you’ll learn the basis of all animations, and how frames work together to compose a moving picture! In the end, you might even want to try creating your own template. Ready?
1. Download the Templates
Go to the link below and open the folder:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1t9sFNmDb-ev3ZquIqRAxvo556sMt_-D2
Browse the folder and download one of the beautiful Animade templates.
2. Print It
Print out your chosen template on paper.
Your animation starts here, on a simple sheet!
3. Draw Your Animation
Connect the dotted lines present in each individual square of the sheet you printed out. After connecting them, you’ll notice you have created the base of an animation.
Add new details and make it your own – a smiley face, an accessory, a flower, your name, the sun, anything works! Being creative is the most important trait of an animator.
Even the smallest change can create movement. Test it out for yourself!
4. Download the App (iOS)
Now, it’s time to download the app and test out the animation you made! Scan the QR code below, and install the free app Animade Frames.
Available only on Apple devices (iPhone and iPad).
5. Take Photos
Place your printed sheet with all 4 QR codes clearly visible.
Open the app and frame your sheet to the correct position, making sure all four QR codes on the edges of your paper are in view.
When the screen turns green… snap!
6. Watch Your Animation
Your animation is ready, just like that!
Press play and watch your drawing come to life.
7. Audio
If you want to add audio to the animation you’ve created, tap the note icon to choose the audio you like best.
Experiment with different songs or audios: a different sound can change the whole mood!
8. Record & Share
Record your screen and share your animation with us!
We’d love to see what you create!
Have Fun!
